ESAD Design Challenge 22

The ESAD Design Challenge 22 is an international creativity workshop taking place within the framework of the Postgraduate Diploma in Design for Social Impact, with the participation of Giulio Vinaccia.

With the question How can social design help save our environment? as a starting point, the workshop runs from September 6-9 and offers a scholarship of up to 5000€.

Giulio Vinaccia, Italian design ambassador and recipient of the World Green Design Award and the Compasso d'Oro, is the special guest of this first edition of the ESAD Design Challenge. Vinaccia is a product designer and has worked for 20 years for Italian brands such as Brembo, Ferrari Spa, Piaggio Spa, MomoDesign, Ducati, Aprilia, Gilera, Moschino or Borsalino. Since 1994, he has been a consultant in projects where design is used as a development tool, collaborating with different international organisations and institutions. Today, after working in more than 22 countries, he is one of the most respected experts in social design oriented projects. He is a senior consultant for [UNIDO][4] and other UN agencies and national governments. Since 2014, he has been the art director of the Creative Mediterranean project, founded by the EU and the Italian government to help develop the creative industries in Middle Eastern countries.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Design for Social Impact provides in-depth preparation in design for international projects in the creative industries, with professional placement in the areas of design, communication, branding and marketing, in local and international organisations.
